For more than 30 years, Nolan Financial has focused on the custom design, enrollment, funding and recordkeeping of executive benefit solutions for public corporations, private enterprises, and tax-exempt organizations. Nolan Financial works closely with organizations in diverse industries including health care, insurance, legal entities, utilities, financial services, consulting, retailing, and manufacturing.

Nolan Financial was founded in 1989 in Chevy Chase, Maryland as a fully-integrated, executive benefits and compensation consulting firm with a focus on the custom design, implementation, funding and administration of nonqualified plans. At the time of its inception, the market was primarily comprised of sophisticated life insurance planning professionals whose main goal was to sell pre-packaged solutions. Nolan Financial was created with a different service model, one in which nonqualified plans were custom-designed to meet the needs of each client while complying with all of the nonqualified regulations. Nolan Financial decided to utilize a recordkeeping platform built specifically for nonqualified executive benefits and compensation plans. The open-architecture recordkeeping platform allowed Nolan Financial to offer an entire suite of services that featured the flexibility, reliability and accountability that its clients needed.

Since its inception, Nolan Financial has continued to grow in size and expand its market share. In early 2014, Nolan Financial’s national headquarters moved to a larger facility to accommodate its growing workforce. The new office has helped meet the firm’s current needs while providing additional space for continued expansion. Nolan Financial’s experienced team, commitment to its clients, and strict protocols and procedures are responsible for the firm’s success.

Additionally, Nolan Financial has consistently obtained SOC-1, Type II ( formerly known as SSAE-16) audit reports with no material exceptions noted. Nolan Financial’s receipt of an unqualified SOC-1, Type II Report provides assurance to our clients of the effectiveness of Nolan Financial’s processes, procedures, and controls. This report eliminates the need for our clients to incur the expense of testing these controls. Nolan Financial uses an open-architecture recordkeeping platform, which can accommodate custom designed 409A compliant nonqualified retirement plans. Custom designed plans result in greater participant satisfaction than using simple, less flexible prototype plans. Our recordkeeping platform can accommodate any funding medium including mutual funds, corporate stock, COLI, an unfunded plan or any combination thereof depending upon an organization’s unique funding needs.
